Our Bucket Runneth Over-Thank you for the generous donations to our classroom. As well, the treats throughout the week have been amazing. How fortunate I am to be part of such a wonderful community and appreciate the priviledge of having my job!
Ellis Island Day - A fine group of immigrants, from all over the world, proved they were worthy of becoming citizens of the greatest nation on Earth. Congratulations to all and a big thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this a great day.
In case you missed it, our very own Caydence, and our class' hopes and dreams, made the cover of this year's School District voter's guide. Nice job!
A Visit from The Cat in the Hat - Mr. Tenters (our Director of Curriculum & Instruction), I mean the Cat in the Hat, visited our classroom and shared a fun Dr. Seuss book as part of Read Across America week. He was a big hit!
Secret Santa Gifts - Students had a wonderful time exchanging Secret Santa gifts. They were generous and appreciative and sure do know how to keep a good secret!
Pennies for Veterans - Thanks to all who contributed. Student donations were totaled an amazing $45, and with my promised match, we were able to give Mrs. Alcox $90. In total, our school was able to sponsor 6 trips for Veterans to Washington, DC this year.
TIGER Show - Again this year, we were fortunate to have a visit from a wonderful performance group from Plymouth State University. The need to respect eachother and show kindness was reinforced in a very entertaining and engaging manner. Thank you to the PTO for sponsoring this event.
Autumn Adventure Day - What a wonderful fall day we had to explore the trails near Heron Pond. Students enjoyed a hike and gathered the makings for a tasty trail mix. The 2nd half of the day was used to share our fun Halloween costumes with others in the school and some yummy snacks. Thanks to all that donated food and drinks for the festive day.
