Parents,
I am always grateful for the role you play in your child's education. Your encouragement and support at home is key to success in the classroom. As such, there are several things that you can do at home to help advance your child's progress and most of them can be done as part of your daily routines. For example, students are asked to read for 15 minutes per day to increase reading fluency. Ideally, the reading is done aloud. In order to make this happen, within the demands of your busy evenings, simply have your child read to you while you prepare dinner. Similarly, math facts and/or spelling words can be reviewed while in the car. However you and your child are able to make this necessary practice happen, it can only help your child realize greater success at school. Thank you for all you do!
